Network-1 Retains Alliance Advisors to Initiate
a Proactive Investor Relations Program
NEW YORK, March 9 -- Network-1 Security Solutions,
Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: NSSI.OB), today announced that it has
retained Alliance Advisors, LLC, an affiliate of Hayden Communications, to
initiate a proactive and targeted investor relations campaign. Alan Sheinwald, President of Alliance Advisors, and his team will be advising
the Company in all facets of a proactive investor communications plan
including proper positioning of the corporate message, creation of press
releases and presentation materials, and the development of long-term
investor relationships by increasing the awareness of the Network-1
investment opportunity to the appropriate members of the professional
investment community. The Company is currently involved in maximizing the value of its
intellectual property portfolio and is focusing its efforts on licensing
its Remote Power Patent (U.S. Patent No. 6,218,930). The Remote Power
Patent relates to, among other things, several key technologies underlying
the IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) standard that was approved on
June 13, 2003 by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers
(IEEE) (the Standard). The Standard governs the delivery of Power over
Ethernet cables in order to power network connected devices including,
among others, VoIP phones, wireless LAN access points and IP network
cameras.
"After careful review, we selected Alliance Advisors to ensure that the
investment community is kept informed of our progress in the development
of our licensing and enforcement activities related to the Remote Power
Patent," commented Corey M. Horowitz, Chairman and CEO of Network-1. "The
recent settlement of our litigation with PowerDsine, the PoE market
leader, combined with the progress of our litigation in the Eastern
District of Texas against D-Link Systems, Inc. and its corporate parent,
D-Link Corporation of Taiwan, are important steps toward our goal of
realizing the full potential underlying the Remote Power Patent licensing
opportunities. "
Mr. Sheinwald commented, "Network-1 continues to execute their plan while
achieving key milestones in connection with its goal of industry wide
licensing of the Remote Power Patent. The importance and intrinsic value
of intellectual property is becoming more evident on a daily basis and the
timing is right to raise the level of awareness of Network-1's compelling
business plan. The Power over Ethernet industry is growing very quickly
and we will work diligently to properly articulate to the investment
community the varied licensing opportunities available to Network-1."
